Flying robots have long been a science-fiction gadget, but now scientists are taking a short cut to achieve the concept. They have invented the robot bug; they have decided that it is practical to install all the technical gear needed on or actually in, a moth.

Scientists from Georgia Tech have been implanting micro sensors that can detect gases and sounds, while the bugs are still larva. Then when the moths mature and grow wings the new robot looks like any regular moth.

Scientists are now working on ways control the mini terminator; the idea is to electronically stimulate the bug to make it fly in the direction the scientists wanted to go.
