Ok, this is another one of those wacky idea from Japan. You’ve seen the used knickers vending machine, and you’ve probably seen one selling Ipods. But lets me introduce the Shoe vending machine located in Carnaby Street, Central London. It carries 24 pairs of running shoes in six different sizes. To be honest, I was a bit curious to see what it looks like, so I went to Carnaby Street to look for it today. I couldn’t find it, maybe somebody could post a comment to its exact location.
I know I hate opening/closing the doors in public toilets, I don’t see the point in washing your hands then having to open a door that is fill with germs. Seriously, what’s the percentage of people do you think actually wash their hands after they’ve been to the toilet? my guess is not a high percentile.
This is an awesome laptop mod by Sir Maxster, he called it the PlumbingPunk Laptop Dock. The laptop is integrated with a web cam, wireless keyboard/mouse receiver, LED status control, volume control and speakers.

Japanese Roboticist Takayuki Furuta from the Future Robotics Technology Center plans to build a 4-meter version of Gundam robot and have it up and running by 2011. The complete bot would cost around $742 million USD to build, a large price to pay for a real life Gundam robot i guess.
Utilizing vibrations that feel similar to Morse code, Japanese professor Nobuyuki Sasaki has created a different kind of cell phone that operates in Braille to assist blind users.
LEDUBEs are LED cubes that can be stacked on each other to create any shape that you like, a high tech Lego of some sort. Each cube can create up to 2.1 million colors and displays amazing moving graphics and video. All of the content is created on a PC with software, and then loaded into the system with an SD card. These are not available on sale yet, and there’s no expected release dates.

A sneak preview from CTIA 2008 of an upcoming MSV L series which will be available in 2010. No word on a price yet though. It comes with a a 480 x 320 multi-touch screen, wifi and an integrated camera.
