
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration is testing fake speed bumps, a flat piece of blue, white and orange plastic that is designed to look like a 3-D pyramid from a distant. The optical illusion fake speed bumps actually slow people down. Until they realize the bumps are fake, but then the fake speed bumps can act as flashing lights in school zone, letting drivers know that they should not be speeding in the area.

Dutch performing artist Benjamin Verdonck’s The Great Swallow was a 7 day/24 hour theatre performance played out 50 metres above the skyline of Weena Tower in Rotterdam. The nest was built using the crowns of 23 silver birches, 2 straw bales, 3 bags of sand, 12 bucket of glue and 19 cans of polyurethane foam.

The term Guerrilla Gardening was first coined in 1973 by New Yorker Liz Christy, she called her group the Green Guerillas.


In layman term, guerrilla gardeners are those that plant without permission on lands that are not theirs, they beautify neglected or vacant public spaces with flowers and plants.
There are more than 50 million people passing away each year, imagine the negative environmental impact that would have with traditional burial and cremation practices. Death is something that nobody want to talk about, but maybe when we finally leave this earth, wouldn’t we want to leave behind a cleaner planet for the ones we left behind?

For me camping is to get yourself dirty, to get stuck in, to feel one with nature and to survive with minimum gadgets and utilities. But a fan for your tent, with light included? I thought the point of camping is to learn how to start your own fire and all that jazz?
