Everyone has been raving about Amazon’s DRM-free MP3 store ever since it was announced and released in the US last year, and rightly so. The store has 3.3 million songs, all priced at $0.99 or less, and they play back on any device or any computer with zero restrictions. No pissing about hacking your iTunes downloads to remove the protection or anything like that is required any more. I live in the UK, so sadly I’ve not been able to use this service yet; but that is why this news is exciting for me. Amazon have just announced they are going international with their DRM-free store this year! Woot indeed.
