The Aion by Antoin Lebrun features a special breed of plant that were developed by the aerospace industry (much like dogs are developed for sheep herding and shit) for their cleaning and filtering properties. They supply a renewable form of clean water and while cooking the plants act as a filtering hood. Cleaning up is also simplified; just chuck the dirty dishes into the sink, close the hood, and the magical clean cycle begins. Pretty fucking sweet. It’s unlikely these will be around any time soon, but it is a glimpse of the future.
