Sims Big Brother 3 on the Way
A treat for all those millions of voyeuristic Big Brother fans is being put together with EA’s third offering in the incredibly well selling series of Sims 3 Big Brother titles.
EA are clearly chasing hardcore gamers, with this new game, hoping to attract the players that found the first two games, a little tame. The new game will feature open world game play that will allow Sims 3 players to send their Sims on expeditions into town.
Creative director for Sims 3 Rod Humble has stated that he wishes to take this new gaming experience
into an open world, where Sims can stroll, meet their friends, go to work, interact with each other. And piss themselves in the gym. It’s GTA: Pleasantville
The intention is to wander through daily life, with multiple possibilities in a rich game world filled with activities and characters for vivid interaction. The game currently in development is expected to have a new inventory system and much clearer objectives in sight, similar to an RPG.
Rod Humble also stated that he wanted to design an infinite number of what he calls ‘metaphysical aspects’ to each Sim. This will mean that each player will no longer choose six things, to define a person’s mood. He believes that players will enjoy an infinite variation in Sim moods.
He says that there are so many different moods that could be applied to Sims that restrictions need to be lifted to allow for an incredible variety of moods and feelings. New moods would include things like being pregnant, how you feel when you kick back on the sofa, and numerous variations of bad moods.
The new Sim model will be more customizable with more natural skin tones, and the possibility of sharing content with other players, including allowing them to download your Sims. Unfortunately, one thing that is not on the cards is multi player mode.
The intention is that eventually Sims 3 will develop and expand into complete seamless world. In the end, producing entire countries for people to live their Sims lives in.
