Everyone is excited by the new lineup from Apple. And even though I have never been a huge Apple fan I must say that their latest Macbook families are the bomb.

The Macbook has been updated, which means you’re getting a system that is .5 pounds lighter than its plastic predecessor and speaking of plastic the new ones are made from aluminum. Also that new “brick” thing you heard floating around was indeed referring to the manufacturing process of the new systems. That means that they are made from a single sheet of aluminum. You’re also getting a new glass touchpad which has no buttons and supports up to 4 fingers. Its also 39% bigger. Oh and did I mention the glass screen?

In terms of specs, yes it is powered by an INVIDIA GPU and Intel Core 2 Duo processor. Also an SSD option is available and 2GB of DDR3.

As for the Macbook Pro’s there is the integrated NVIDIA 9400 GPU as well as the option for a discrete version. 4GB of RAM is available (DDR3)and up to 320gb HDD as well as an SSD option.

Both systems can be had for now with prices starting at $999 for the Macbook (and moving up from there) and $1500 for the Pro with prices topping off at $2400.

This would be the best notebook on the market had it not been for the glass screen which provides a ridiculous glare. Hopefully an aftermarket park fixes this problem.
