Cats have nine lives they say. And nothing explains this more than the story of a cat that did a two and a half hour trip covering over 70 miles under a car (or truck rather). According to owner Gil Smith the cat had some how gotten under the vehicle somewhere around the wheel. The cat was smart enough not to jump off during the trip. But as soon as the destination was reached the animal did not fail to make mention of the distress it was in.

What is more odd is the fact that after that drive Smith canceled his meeting with a state Department of Economic Security official who had driven 50 miles to get to Kearny. He jokes that if he had not done that it would be a divorce.
