Its no secret that the airline companies have been hit pretty hard by high petroleum prices. Secondly its a new type of advertising called word-of mouth says Harlan Platt a Northeastern University professor.

The auctions start at 8 and 10 cents and all flights must be completed by October 6′th.

So if you’re interested in flying and think you might be able to land a good deal on a pair of tickets than head over to jetblue for the auctions. Oh and by the way, they are also including 6 vacation tickets to unspecified locations.
