I don’t have a single plants or flowers in the house, it’s not because I’m against having them, but for one simple reason why I don’t keep plants is I can’t be bothered to water them. Mind you, I used to have orchids, but they died within weeks. So to stop myself from committing plant genocide, I simple don’t buy plants anymore.

I know someone somewhere out there will eventually come up with a way to save people like me from living a life without plants. Grobal came up with a self watering planter, Yep, you heard it right! They are pots designed to water your plants automatically.

The way it works is simple, There is a reservoir within the plant that holds the water, and then the “grow chamber” draws water out of this storage area when it is needed. This way over watering your plants is not possible and you get to save some water. The self watering planter is available in a variety of colors for $20 USD and comes with soil, plant food and an instruction book.

This is not completely lazy proof though, you’ll still have to do a bit of work like knowing when to refill the water.

With its unique watering system, and stylish design by Karim Rashid, Grobal keeps your house plants lush, green, and looking sharp. Grobal draws water and nutrients from the reservoir into the Grobal Soil”; in the top chamber. Just check the water level through the water level indicator and refill when needed through the Nutriport”;. Grobal does the work, you look good. Cultivate style.
