Gecko style glue promises real life Spiderman

Its not the first of its type to make it to the market but this new type of dry glue which mimics the suction power of the gravity defying lizards promises to support 10 times the weight of the former. US researcher Liming Dai who reported the glue to The Journal of Science says its the stickiest dry glue ever and only 2.5cm can hold up a 100kg man.

Other than using this new material for climbing walls, it can also be used in electronics instead of soldering and space where regular glues are not as effective.

Seems like Spidey was decades ahead of his generation after all. All we need is the web and we’re set.
