Berkeley artist Suzanne Rachel Forbes aka slurkgirl on Etsy has her ‘Defending the Electronic Frontier’ print on sale over there for $22 USD, half of which goes to benefit the Electronic Frontier Foundation, a San Francisco liberties group defending our rights in the digital world. The prints are a limited edition of only 2,800, professionally printed with soy-based inks on 8.5×11 100# gloss cover stock, individually signed by Suzanne, numbered and dated.
Melbourne artist Nicholas Jones creates book sculptures from beautiful old books, most are donated to him by Melbourne University library. The overwhelming response to his works has been positive and enthusiastic, but some people have been offended by him cutting up of old books in the name of art. Look at these amazing stills by Chinese artist Li Wei, 39, Beijing, I don’t know how he did them, but they look really realistic. Li said his work is a mixture of performance art and photography to create these dangerous reality, he also stated that he does not use computer tricks to create the images and instead they were made with the help of props such as mirror, metal wires, scaffolding and acrobatics.
Ever wanted some bad milk beside your bed? Milk Gone Bad is a project by Anatomic Factory and Bomboland’s illustrations. It is a collection of of eight lamps, made in a shape of milk cartons and each carton is one of a series.
Swedish designers at Front have a new collection “Shade” , by using standard common household items which include a table, 2 vases, a rug, a plate and a tea cup, the designers hand drawn them with shadows and texture as if they’re on paper, making them look as though they’re 2D drawings.

Johan Lorbeer is a German street performer who became famous for his public “Still-Life Performances”, such as, the famous “Proletarian Mural” and “Tarzan”. Several of these performances feature Lorbeer in an apparently impossible positions, where seems to unhinge the laws of gravity. In his performances he would elevated or reduced to the state of a sculpture for hours on end and he would interact with his often bewildered and irritated audience.

This is a demo of AirStrike, which is a new interactive pointing device by LM3LABS. It lets users use their finger in the air to interact with holograms. AirStrike is not a concept btw, but version 1 is actually available to buy for out-of-home installations. According to Nicholas Loeillot “We reserve it to exclusive projects but are working with industrials for embedding into keyboards and laptops.”
